The Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute may be new to the Mansfield area, but they’re certainly not new to orthopedics. OSMI has been the go-to orthopedic practice in Fort Worth for 11 years where Drs. Nick Martin and Todd Moore cared for patients of all ages, from newborn to over 100 years old.

Meet Nicholas E. Martin, MD

An Arlington native, Nick Martin traveled the country for his medical training. However, he and his wife always knew they wanted to return to DFW to care for the people of this community and to offer their two boys the same upbringing they’d enjoyed. Passionate about staying active himself, Dr. Martin spends his day helping others enjoy the activities they love. “I myself enjoy sports, golfing, and biking,” he said. “I believe people feel better when they’re moving. I love doing a job that helps people return to a more active lifestyle.”

An orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in total-joint replacements, Dr. Martin completed an extra year of fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic where he focused on robotic hip and knee replacements.  “I also specialize in the anterior hip approach,” he said. “This specialized training in robotics and the anterior hip approach gives patients better results with much less down time.”

“My goal as your orthopedic surgeon is to restore your mobility and improve your quality of life,” Dr. Martin said. “I take pride in watching my patients return to their favorite activities and sports. I chose a career in medicine because it allows me to help people on a daily basis.

Meet G. Todd Moore, DO

Dr. Todd Moore is board certified and fellowship trained in sports medicine and orthopedic surgery. He specializes in all aspects of orthopedics with special interests in ACL injuries and shoulder instability, fracture care and pediatric orthopedics. “Kids are near and dear to my heart,” he said. “I have a special love for and skill with newborns, toddlers, and youth.” And the affection is mutual. In fact, many local physicians send their own kids to him.

A recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award for Most Compassionate Doctor, Dr. Moore has practiced orthopedic medicine in the Fort Worth area since 2012. With a bedside manner that’s attentive and deeply compassionate, he approaches patient care and medical decisions as though he’s making them for his own family.

A lifelong athlete and varsity football player at the University of South Carolina, Dr. Moore has coached sports, started a mentoring program for middle schoolers, and keeps himself fit with running and resistance training. He’s a devoted father of two and he and his family live in Midlothian.

The Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute covers many local high school sports teams and offers a free walk-in clinic on Saturday mornings throughout football season. Find out more at OSMIFW.com.
