Jason Lowry, MD
BY Meredith Knight
Dr. Jason Lowry has one goal for each of his patients—to enable them to be themselves again. It’s his job and his joy to return his patients to doing the things they love. Whether it’s a high school athlete anxious to get back in the game or a senior who loves walking and talking with her besties each morning, whether it’s a 20-something whose half marathon training’s been interrupted or a 50-something who’s missing her time on the pickleball court, Dr. Lowry wants to return them to full function and fully enjoying their life.
As a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he’s uniquely qualified to do just that. As a smalltown boy, he loves nothing more than getting to know his patients and understanding what’s important to them. “The first and most important thing I can do for my patients is listen to them,” Dr. Lowry said. “I enjoy getting to know my patients and treating them like family. Getting folks back on their feet and enjoying life again—the way I’d want to do for my own mother, sibling, or friend—is unbelievably rewarding for me.”
Dr. Lowry serves as Director of the Total Joint Program at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic & Spine Hospital of Arlington (“BOSHA”), which consistently receives national accolades for excellence in joint-replacement care. “We have a distinguished center of excellence that provides world-class, evidence-based care for our patients,” he said. “Our team of physicians, nurses, and therapists are second to none. I’m extremely proud of the work we do.”
A Reputation of Excellence
Arlington Orthopedic Associates has served as the premiere orthopedic, spine, and sports medicine group in North Texas for over 25 years. Along with diagnostics, physical therapy and state of the art procedures, their physicians provide decades of expertise in every range of orthopedic sub-specialty. And though they are highly trained surgeons, surgery is always their last resort, after all conservative options have been explored. With more providers and locations than any other orthopedics clinic in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, they ensure you and your family will get the best possible care in the most convenient locations possible.
Meet Dr. Lowry
Dr. Lowry is locally known for his anterior hip replacements with a special interest in robotic joint replacements. He was involved in the first robotic total-knee replacement in our area. “We’re truly just scratching the surface on how robotics can improve joint replacement outcomes for hip and knee patients. I’m thrilled to offer this cutting-edge technology to our patients.”
Jason Lowry served eight years in the US Air Force, including Operation Iraqi/Enduring Freedom. He’s been consistently recognized by his orthopedic peers as a Top Doc and Super Doc in North Texas. In his free time, he and his wife are involved in their children’s activities at Pantego Christian Academy and youth sports leagues in Mansfield. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and fly fishing.
