Laura Ferring

Laura Ferring’s career trajectory is a testament to dedication and a commitment to exceeding expectations. In 1999, following a workplace closure, Laura, a single mother, embarked on a new chapter. An interview at GEICO Insurance proved pivotal. The company’s values and culture resonated deeply with Laura, and her impressive performance during the extensive interview process solidified her place on the team.

Her tenure at GEICO was marked by significant contributions. She played a key role in establishing new offices across the country, demonstrating a strong understanding of market expansion strategies. Inspired by this experience, Laura nurtured a spirit of entrepreneurship. In February 2020, she took a bold step, opening her own GEICO agency in Flower Mound. Despite unforeseen challenges, including a delayed opening due to the pandemic, Laura persevered. By August, the agency was thriving, fueled by Laura’s commitment to personalized
customer service.

Laura and her team’s approach to insurance goes beyond simply selling policies. They prioritize building strong relationships with clients, taking the time to understand their customers’ unique needs, and crafting value-added and cost-effective coverage solutions. This dedication has fostered a loyal client base and positioned her agency as a trusted resource within Flower Mound and surrounding communities.

Laura’s commitment extends beyond the walls of her agency. When not on the job helping her Denton and Tarrant County neighbors, Laura works with Denton ISD JROTC and mentors Denton Civil Air Patrol cadets. Each year, she awards scholarships to cadets from the four Denton ISD high schools. As a former ROTC cadet and Cadet Programs Officer with Civil Air Patrol, Laura is proud that her youngest daughter is focused on learning to fly, and has her sights set on going to the Air Force Academy.

A priority of hers is being involved with her children’s lives by presenting opportunities and environments for them to thrive. Her middle daughter is planning on going to medical school. She is also a Civil Air Patrol Cadet focused on emergency services. Her oldest daughter is completing her doctorate in music at UNT.

Laura is a big supporter of the Flower Mound Police Department, National Charity League, Texas Lantana Chapter, Girl Scouts of America, Daughters of the American Revolution, Flower Mound Chapter, and DFW Veterans Chamber of Commerce. She’s also active with the Denton ISD Council of PTA’s Executive Board, Guyer PTSA, and the orchestra booster club at her children’s school and working on her private pilot’s license.
