Danielle Dorenkamp is celebrating four years as a balloon artist and owner of Boujee Not Basic Balloons. She branched out as an entrepreneur in 2020 amid the pandemic after a 16-year career in the hospitality industry.

“I was used to going non-stop managing events,” said Danielle, “so when I was furloughed from my previous position after everything shut down, I needed something to do to keep busy. Creating balloon art was a way for me to be creative and bring something special to my community.”

Boujee Not Basic Balloons, which began with Danielle just doing neighborhood parties, has grown into her working with local businesses in the McKinney community and DFW Metroplex helping individuals, small businesses, and corporations elevate their events with balloon decor for grand openings, ribbon cuttings, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries, and more.

“I’ve been working with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce,” she said, “supporting client events and local businesses to make their events even more special with my attention-grabbing, one-of-a-kind,
custom pieces.”

Danielle loves the flexibility of her new business, which allows her to take on grand installations, special occasions, small events, and even simply create unique gifts or centerpieces for you and your friends.

“I’m all about adding that magic and extra special sparkle to your celebrations and milestones, making them fabulous and unforgettable,” said Danielle. “There is nothing more satisfying than the look on my clients’ faces when they see what I’ve created for them.”
