How many times growing up in Rockwall did Madisen Pittman or Caitlin Henderson go past the Rockwall County courthouse or down the street where their law office now sits? As they spent happy days in Rockwall ISD, played at area parks, undertook service projects with their families, and forged lifelong memories, little did they imagine the role they would eventually play in the lives of the families of the city and county they love.
Now, as family law attorneys, Caitlin and Madisen partner with Rockwall families during some of the most difficult times of their lives. They offer legal guidance, advocacy, and emotional support during highly stressful personal transitions, including domestic disputes, divorce, child custody battles, and all estate planning and probate matters.
They provide clarity and counseling through what can be complex legal processes involving asset division, adoption, protection orders, and more. And because family law is so highly personal, they each practice in additional legal areas of the law, Caitlin in probate, estate planning, real estate, and business law and Madisen in criminal defense. That way, once a client is established with the firm, they don’t have to be referred out if new issues come into play.
Meet Madisen Pittman
Rockwall born and raised, Madisen graduated from Rockwall-Heath High School before earning dual bachelor’s degrees in business administration and psychology in 2017 from Southern Methodist University. “There was a point where I couldn’t decide between business and psychology,” she said. “Eventually, I realized I could combine my two passions by working with families in a family-law practice. I’ve been surprised how well my psychology degree has served me as a family law attorney.”
Madisen obtained her juris doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law in May 2020. During law school, she served as a CASA volunteer, advocating for children and families during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. “Those experiences really shaped me by showing me the difference a compassionate, client- centered attorney can bring to a case,” she said. “During a divorce or child custody case, the children didn’t ask to be there. They just get stuck in the middle and it’s vital someone is there looking out for their best interest. Whatever side I’m on, I’m always trying to minimize the negative effects on the children — and everyone involved.”
Today, Madisen focuses her practice primarily on family law, including divorce, child custody, and visitation, protective and restraining orders, marital property issues, and all related family matters. She’s involved with the
Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in family law, specializing in high-conflict divorce and custody cases. She is known for combining strong legal advocacy with genuine care for the people she serves — helping clients navigate emotional situations with clarity, confidence, and respect. In fact, much of her business comes through referrals from happy clients.
Madisen is an active member of the Rockwall Bar Association and the Rockwall Chamber of Commerce and remains deeply committed to supporting the families and community that helped shape her. When not on the job, she’s a single mom with a baby daughter, “My own life definitely helps me relate to my child- custody clients,” she said. “I can relate to my clients because I’ve been where they are.”
Meet Caitlin Henderson
Also a proud Rockwall native, Caitlin Henderson graduated from Rockwall High School before earning both her bachelor’s degree and her juris doctorate from Texas Tech University. In addition to practicing family law, she focuses on probate and estate planning with experience in civil litigation, real estate, and business matters. “Divorce touches on many other areas of the law. When a client is going through a divorce but also owns a business, it benefits them to have an attorney who understands both family law and business law,” she said. “Or if the couple has established a joint estate plan through trusts or other mechanisms, I’m able to assess and provide guidance on the how to dissolve the plan the couple established together, and how to establish a new plan for post-divorce life.”
“Most aspects of the law are highly personal,” Caitlin said. “Once we’ve established mutual respect and rapport with a client, they appreciate that we can handle most of their legal needs in house, whether it’s drafting wills and trusts, child custody or support issues, probating a will, or forming a new business. We’ve had clients come to us for a pre-nup, then return to assist with the divorce or to start a new business. Then, when a brother- in-law gets arrested, Madisen can step in to defend him in criminal court.”
As a business owner, wife, and mother of three, Caitlin has a keen understanding of the needs of her clients. Whether guiding individuals and families through emotionally difficult transitions, providing strategic planning and decision-making for life’s now and thens, or advocating for her clients in the courtroom, Caitlin is known for her practical, solution- oriented approach and for providing clients with clear guidance during some of life’s most important — most challenging — times.
Caitlin is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. She’s a member of the Rockwall County Bar Association, the family law section and the real estate, probate, and real property section of the State Bar of Texas, Rockwall Chamber of Commerce, Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity, and Phi Alpa Delta Fraternity.
Caitlin is raising her beautiful family alongside her husband, David Henderson, who is also a practicing attorney throughout the State of Texas, in the place she’s always called home. She loves being involved in the community whether it’s cheering her sons at their sporting events, volunteering at their schools, or supporting local nonprofits.
Madisen Pittman and Caitlin Henderson are both happy to be serving the community they love and raising their kids in the same beautiful city where they spent their own childhood.
