Maddie Polk

Hospitality just comes naturally to Maddie Polk. In fact, one of her life verses is Hebrews 13:2 which exhorts, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” When her knack for party decorating led her to launch a custom event decorating business, she paid homage to that scripture with the name 13:2 Events.

Through it, Maddie celebrates life’s milestones with families and businesses throughout DFW, providing custom backdrops, marquee letters, and what she calls “all things balloons.” On her Instagram page, you can see some of the exciting designs Maddie’s crafted for birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, grand openings, corporate events, sports banquets, school dances, and more.

Through her booth at The Painted Tree in Highland Village and Flourish Flowers & Gifts/ Tullia Sage in Lewisville, she offers modern party supplies and decorations you won’t find at the big-box party stores. “You want your event to be special,” Maddie said. “I want to help. Each balloon garland or backdrop is unique to each client, and my party supplies, favors, and table décor will really set your event apart.” She also has a list of event vendors she’s personally vetted for any other event needs.

When not on the job, Maddie is a busy wife and mother and active member of The Village Church. She serves on a committee for Young Life and loves to be outside and active with her toddler. 13:2 Events is licensed and insured.
