Q&A

Ballroom Dance Instructor

Why take up ballroom dancing as a hobby for adults?

There are so many benefits to ballroom dancing. Many of our clients are couples who found dance a perfect way to reconnect and spend quality time together. Many of our clients are single and looking to build their social life in a fun, friendly and safe environment.

In addition, we find a lot of our clients use dancing as a great stress relief; moving to the music quickly takes you to a place of relaxation and helps to take the day’s problems away.

Can you help a couple with a wedding dance?

Dance Vision currently has seven studios in Texas, and all average at least 100 plus wedding dances annually. We work in partnership with the engaged couple to meet their requirements for the perfect dance for a perfect day. We can help with whatever they desire, from a basic dance which allows them to feel comfortable in front of their friends and family to a dance fully choreographed to the music of their choice for that special moment.

Do I need a partner to take ballroom dancing lessons?

At all our studios, at least 30% of our clients don’t have a partner or have a partner who is not interested in dancing. We cater to all people looking to learn to dance while extending their friend base by sharing a mutual hobby. Not only do we have a range of male and female teachers who provide the instruction as partners, but at all our classes and at our weekly party clients mix together to dance with each other. We feel that we build a country club atmosphere of friends with a shared interest.

Can dance complement my fitness goals?

Dance is a wonderful fun addition to your fitness program. The benefits are many and available in a fun and relaxed way. For many people, including myself, going to a gym is hard work and going running is very lonely. With dance, fitness is more gentle and in a friendly interactive environment. The latest research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine shows quite clearly the benefits to the brain health of the dancer. In a 10-year study of hobbies that benefit the brain, couple dancing was clearly at the top of their program. The Minister of Health in England is now prescribing ballroom dancing to help early stage Alzheimer patients.

What type of dances do you teach?

At all our studios, we teach a full complement of partner dances, from 2Step to Rumba to Tango and Salsa and West Coast Swing.

If you walk into our studio, then we can help you to enjoy dancing with a partner. We have professional qualified teachers who are used to dealing day to day with people who are new to dancing. We have a full proven teaching system that makes dancing fun and easy to learn for all.

If you have two left feet, then please let us help you to put one right.
