Dr. Lyons is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has performed well over 40,000 vision correction surgeries. He served as an ophthalmologist in the United States Air Force, where he performed laser vision correction surgery for fighter pilots and flight crew and taught cataract surgery to resident physicians. He was also deployed to Central America four times to perform cataract surgery for underserved populations in Honduras and Panama. His final deployment was during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he served as the only microsurgeon ophthalmologist in the Iraqi theater. During this time, he completed what he refers to as a “mini-trauma fellowship,” treating complex and urgent eye injuries. Dr. Kasey Holdridge is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has also been named a National Eye Institute Research Fellow. She has served as a primary eyecare director in the Southlake area for over 22 years, specializing in comprehensive eye care, contact lenses, and ocular disease. Dr. Holdridge is a board-certified optometric glaucoma specialist and is the recipient of recognition for Excellence in the Pursuit of Primary Care Skills. She was awarded the Texas Lions Camp Lifetime membership for outstanding leadership and dedication to service to others. Having undergone successful laser vision correction herself, she brings a special level of empathy to her patient treatment.

Dr. Karen Liu is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist who provides comprehensive eye care, contact lens services, and medical management of ocular conditions including diabetes, glaucoma, and eye infections. She pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at The University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received multiple Letters of Excellence in recognition of outstanding clinical performance.
“Vision problems may not always begin with eye symptoms,” says Dr. Liu. “They may arise secondary to systemic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, or as adverse side effects of short and long-term medications. We work closely with a patient’s healthcare team to ensure we have a complete picture and can deliver care tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
