With more than 20 years behind the chair, Anna Fields, owner of Gloss Salon & Co., has turned a lifelong love of hair into a thriving, people-first business. “I’ve always loved doing hair — I gave plenty of haircuts to myself and my friends growing up,” she says.
Though she initially explored psychology in college, Anna ultimately followed her true calling. This decision led her into an industry in which she’s never stopped learning. “One of the things I love most about this industry is that you never truly ‘arrive.’ There is always something new to learn, refine, and grow in,” she says.
That mindset is woven into her Prosper-based salon. “My vision for Gloss is exactly what it has become — a group of talented women working together as a team, sharing a space that truly feels like home for both our employees and our guests,” she says.
Leadership, for Anna, extends beyond business ownership. She has found a deep passion for mentoring and developing emerging stylists. “I find joy and value in passing the baton to the next generation of stylists,” she says. “They are the future of the hair industry and need to learn the basics from experienced stylists.”
At the heart of it all is gratitude and faith. “God is so good,” she says. Outside the salon, she enjoys family time, travel, and staying active — living out the same balance and intentionality she encourages in her team.
