Behind that mission is a team of highly accomplished women who not only lead with expertise, but with heart. Among them include Dr. Novie Sroa and Dr. Connie Fiore.

Dr. Sroa, who practices at Bare Dermatology’s Frisco and Aubrey locations, is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon with over 15 years of experience. A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, her approach to patient care comes down to one word: teamwork. “My patients and I make a joint decision about which treatment option, surgery, or medication to take that best fits their lifestyle and circumstances. Every patient is unique and deserves skin care treatment tailored to his or her individual needs.”

Dr. Sroa completed her dermatology residency at The Ohio State University and a fellowship in cutaneous oncology and Mohs surgery at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Her passion for dermatology began during a medical school rotation, caring for a patient in the burn unit. “She was in the hospital’s burn unit due to a painful, blistering rash all over her body,” Dr. Sroa says. “Making her healthy and whole again was extremely gratifying for me. Dermatology was an organic choice and I’m glad for it.”

Dr. Sroa also finds joy in the diverse stories and perspectives of those she serves. “Meeting new faces in my patients is a joy,” she says. “My patients teach me new and uniquely different perspectives and worldviews. I continue to be amazed by the diversity of the human experience.”

Dr. Fiore, based at the clinic’s Frisco location, is a dual board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with a special interest in complex medical dermatology. A Texas native, she brings a thoughtful and holistic approach to care. “Through my training and experience, I have realized that skin conditions reflect internal health” she says.

Her passion for dermatology was inspired by personal experience. “Growing up, I watched my mother and grandfather suffer with psoriasis,” she says. “I was able to shadow Dr. Alan Menter, a world-renowned expert on psoriasis, and I fell in love with dermatology.”

Dr. Fiore completed her dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center, where she trained under Dr. Menter. She then pursed a dermatopathology fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center and advanced training in functional medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
