In the heart of downtown Prosper, Prosper Blooms and Gifts has flourished for over a decade under the passionate leadership of owner Kambra Bacon. A full-service flower shop known for same-day delivery, home décor, gift baskets, and more, Kambra’s business is rooted in more than just floral arrangements — it’s built on faith, purpose, and community.

Her guiding mantra, “Bloom where you’re planted,” is inspired by Scripture and reflects her approach to both business and life. “It comes from 1 Corinthians,” Kambra shares. “It’s about using your spiritual gifts while we are here on earth. Leadership starts with a servant’s heart.”

Kambra moved to Prosper 15 years ago and quickly began investing in the community, first as vice president of the PTO for PISD while raising her twins, and later through roles with the Prosper Ladies Association, where she served on the board of directors. “It taught me about empathy, creativity, and the importance of active listening,” she says.

Her commitment to service deepened through her work with Cornerstone, a nonprofit that empowers individuals to break cycles of poverty through education and skills training. “It was incredibly fulfilling. I loved helping our neighbors create a better life,” Kambra reflects.

A decade into entrepreneurship, she attributes her success to divine guidance. “The Lord has opened the doors and the windows,” she says. “And He continues to do so.”
