Equipping Women to Become All God Intended

As a woman, why is it important for me to be equipped and empowered to fulfill my God-given purpose?

God created each woman uniquely, with a particular personality, spiritual gifts, and talents. I have witnessed that when a woman is guided into a posture to receive who God says she is and what God has purposed for her, her life changes. When a woman’s life is changed, a family is changed. When a family is changed, a generation is changed. A changed generation will create a changed culture for God’s glory. This is why I started Choose to Soar Ministries.

What should I do to discover my God-given purpose?

The key to understanding your purpose is to start believing what God says about you in the Bible. Start rooting yourself in the grace and love of Christ and stop grounding yourself in worldly accomplishments or opinions. God wants you to discover why He created you more than you do! Choose to Soar exists to empower and equip women to find their God-given purpose. We’d love to help you dive deeper into what God has designed you specifically to do.

I find reading the Bible to be confusing, intimidating, and honestly boring. How can I learn to love the Word?

That’s a fair question! Start by praying that God will give you a thirst for His Word. The goal is to discover God’s character on every page. If time in the Bible helps you know God better, don’t you think He will answer that prayer? It’s important to remember that the Bible wasn’t just written for information, but for transformation. It also helps to study the Bible with others who can help you through confusion and keep you accountable. Choose to Soar has weekly Bible studies and an Encounter Weekend (women’s retreat) designed to help you fall in love with the Word.

I want to study God’s Word, but I also struggle with loneliness. Where can I find Christ-centered friendships?

I would highly recommend attending a weekly Bible study like the ones that Choose to Soar offers. Not only will this deepen your understanding of God’s Word, but it will introduce you to a community of Christ-minded friends. You’ll find a sense of belonging and encouragement as you help each other navigate life’s challenges. At our studies, women from over 60 different churches are constantly cultivating deep friendships with people they otherwise never would have met.

As the leader of a nonprofit, how do you equip the women on your team?

That’s a fun question, and I could speak on this for pages. First, I would have to say that, as a leader, my perspective is to move my staff on to God’s agenda and deepen their understanding of Choose to Soar’s mission. It is vital to our organization’s reach to place people on their “piece of the puzzle,” or God-given purpose. My goal is to help them do what they are “called to,” not just what they “can do.”
