He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Patel has also instructed and trained residents in performing cataract surgery at Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital.
