When it comes to finding a place for the seniors in your life who need assisted living, few facilities can match the commitment to dignity and quality of life that Eckelberry Elder Care provides.
Since the time Roxana Titerlea was 10 years old, she has been preparing for what she believes is her calling: owning and operating an assisted living facility.
“When I was 10, my family lived and worked in the business of elder care,” she said. “For the past 30 years, this is all I’ve known. Two years ago, my husband, Horatiu, and I bought Eckelberry.”
Originally from Romania, where taking care of parents and grandparents as they age is part of the culture, Roxana feels that where she is now is simply a natural progression.
“In our culture, the elderly are a high priority and taking care of them in their last stages is considered an honor and a privilege,” she explained. “Having a capable staff is key. Because caring for the elderly is a 24/7 job, our team understands that it’s physical, emotional, demanding, and important work.”
Roxana and Horatiu are so committed to maintaining an extraordinary level of care that they now live onsite, allowing them to monitor residents carefully.
“We have to really be responsible for the souls in our care,” said Roxana.
Transitioning aging relatives is never easy, but the peace of mind families receive when they entrust their relatives to Eckelberry Elder Care is immeasurable.
