Everything fell into place quickly
when Dr. William Eric Lewis opened his first chiropractic office 23 years
ago. Not only was he an extremely talented young mind dedicated to
changing lives one spine at a time, but he was also the quintessential
hometown kid in the tightly knit West Texas community of Midland, Texas. So
getting the word out about his new venture wouldn’t be a
problem.
“Being from Midland, plenty of friends and
family were willing to spread the word,” Dr. Lewis said.
Dr. Lewis admits the landscape around him has
changed quite a bit since bringing his compassionate brand of chiropractic
care at Live in Motion Chiropractic to Rockwall three months ago. He even
joked that the nearby lakes, trees, and trails are a welcome change of pace.
But much like the past two decades have shown time and time again, developing
a loyal following isn’t an issue. And the result has been a new wave of local
families eager to live and move pain-free.
“I like to say I specialize in people,” Dr.
Lewis said. “Maybe they come in, and they’re nervous about what happens next,
or they’re not feeling good or moving like they want to. Either way, they’re
just looking for a solution. I individualize every treatment based on what
that patient needs and dive into the root cause of their
issues.”
Dr. Lewis graduated from Midland Lee High
School before earning his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University. He
went on to graduate with honors from Texas Chiropractic College in 1999 and
immediately returned home to go into practice for himself. By his side from
the very beginning was his mother, Linda, who also has a successful
background in healthcare. Dr. Lewis married his high school sweetheart, Kim,
29 years ago, and together, they have two daughters, Amanda and
Alexa.
While successful in his hometown, Dr. Lewis
couldn’t pass up the opportunity to spread his wings in the growing community of Rockwall. His new practice is
conveniently located on Ridge Road and is open to patients of all ages. Dr.
Lewis is known for being extremely thorough in his approach — especially with
patients starting care for the first time. This is a breath of fresh air for
Rockwall residents who suffer from lingering pain due to spinal misalignments
or injuries. This can include everything from chronic neck and back pain to
headaches, range of motion issues, TMJ, plantar fasciitis, and
more.
“Pain is an indicator that something is
wrong, but so is lack of motion — and many people go years dealing with these
issues,” Dr. Lewis said. “They want to get better quickly, and that’s
something we work toward. Whatever your goals are, we can help. This includes
improving your current level of health and fitness or increasing performance
for athletes of all ages, including youth sports.”
He added,
“We love being in Rockwall. Everyone is friendly, and we can’t wait to create
a positive experience for them.”
