Zimbabwe Quintet Brings Acclaimed A Capella to MPAC

Zimbabwe A Capella at the McKinney Performance Center

Nobuntu has drawn international acclaim for its inventive performances that range from traditional Zimbabwean songs to Afro jazz to gospel. The ensemble’s concerts are performed with pure voices, augmented by minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as the Mbira (thumb piano), and organic, authentic dance movements. They’ll be performing at the Courtroom Theater (111 N. Tennessee St.) on Friday, October 25 at 8 PM. Check out Nobuntu-Music.com for more on the group or head to McKinneyPerformingArtsCenter.org for ticketing information.
