When it comes to healthcare — especially your eyes — nothing can beat experience. The combined doctors at Lone Star Vision have an experience of more than 100 years as eye care professionals, each with a particular area of expertise.

“We are proud to operate a truly family- oriented business,” said Dr. Brantley. “Among our staff, we treat each other like family, and we extend that approach to our patients, as well. It’s a driving factor of our success.”

The family atmosphere draws new patients to the practice and that is why so many patients return. The staff genuinely enjoy working with patients and love their jobs. In an age where healthcare can be fast and generic, the doctors at Lone Star Vision slow down and take time to build relationships.

Dr. Diaz specializes in ocular diseases, such as irregular cornea, glaucoma, vision issues related to diabetes, and myopia.

“Sometimes patients have trouble finding a doctor who can help them with specialty lenses,” said Dr. Diaz. “I help people who previously couldn’t drive, who could no longer enjoy hobbies, or read to their grandchildren by fitting them with comfortable lenses that effectively improve their vision.”

Dr. Serna’s specialization is vision therapy, where she works with adults and children who may have problems with binocular vision, which is getting both eyes to work together.

“Reading is a big indicator,” said Dr. Serna. “Maybe they skip lines when they read, or the words move around on the page. Body coordination, too, is a telling detail. They may have trouble with hand-eye coordination. When this is the case, we have a regimented approach to vision therapy that includes once a week sessions and exercises they do at home.”

The family atmosphere draws new and returning patients to the practice. The staff genuinely enjoy working with patients and love their jobs. In an age where healthcare can be fast and generic, the doctors at Lone Star Vision slow down and take time to build relationships.

“Patient care is our focus at Lone Star Vision,” said Dr. Serna. “All our doctors are personable and giving patients our time is our priority. While some practices schedule patients in and out quickly, we allow each patient a 30-minute time slot, so no one ever feels rushed.”

The level of technology available at Lone Star Vision is unsurpassed. They operate with instrumentation typically only available in surgical offices, enabling the doctors to make more accurate diagnoses and properly treat each issue without having to refer patients to other providers.

For those who need or prefer glasses, the optical department at Lone Star Vision showcase a wide selection of frames that aren’t found everywhere. The team of opticians are friendly, expertly trained and ready to help their patients select products best suited for their needs.

Lone Star Vision is proud to be the preferred eye care partners of the Frisco RoughRiders and Texas Legends.

Lone Star Vision, an innovative eye care practice since 1997, is dedicated to excellent customer service and patient care by serving the eye care needs for the entire family by offering advanced technology, a wide selection of designer eyewear, an onsite optical lab, and an unparalleled selection of contact lenses.
