Marrying Traditional & Modern Elements
FrontDesigner: Mary Patton Design  |  Photographer: Molly Culver

This 100-year-old Tudor-style residence was initially built by the founder of Humble Oil (later Exxon) for his daughter in 1930.

Designed by prominent Texas-based architect Camren D. Fairchild, the family lived in the home for several generations until it was passed on to oil tycoon Glenn McCarthy. The current owners, who have lived in the house since the early 2000s, recently commissioned Mary Patton to modernize the residence while preserving the Tudor-style details.

EntryWarm Welcome // In the entry, a custom-designed Murano chandelier from the 60s lights the way for guests into the historic home. The serene dining room invites everyone to enjoy a relaxing meal.
