Fort Bend Cares plans early February evening

A spectacular night of Latin sights, sounds, and tastes awaits at Fort Bend Cares’ “Road Trip to South America” on Saturday, February 1, to be held starting at 6:30 PM at Fluor. Join Presenting Sponsors PBK and Jacobs for an enchanting night filled with beautiful décor, delicious international cuisine and an interactive atmosphere. The event space, graciously donated by Fluor in Sugar Land, will transport guests to the fun fiesta sounds, vibrant colors and flavors of South America.

“Road Trip is different from your typical sit-down galas,” said event chair Gail McClendon. “We have a cocktail party atmosphere with lots to see and do.”  Attendees will enjoy a delightful choice of dishes from more than a dozen popular restaurants, and an incredible variety of entertainment including a raffle and wine pull. There will be colorful costumes, music by Shark Bait and the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, and some very special auction items in the live and silent auctions.

As one of Fort Bend’s most popular events, the 15th Annual Road Trip will raise funds to support non-profit organizations through grants that improve the lives of disadvantaged children in the county. Fort Bend Cares has given over $2.2 million in donations to local nonprofits.
