There are so many things Dr. Stan Lowrance loves about his calling as your neighborhood hometown dentist. Serving the Rockwall community for 45 years is at the top of that list. The same is true for the work he’s done for veterans, the accolades he’s received from peers, and, of course, his mission work. But perhaps the greatest perk has been the joy of being in a practice alongside his daughter, Dr. Shanae Lowrance. But that sense of family certainly doesn’t stop there.
Dr. Christina Leon — a family friend and former dental school classmate of Dr. Shanae — shares the same values and commitment to patient care that define the Lowrance name. Now, that trusted team has grown more with the addition of Dr. Rylie Dombrowski.
“All three were in dental school together, and I’ve got to tell you, it has been so much fun having that trio in our practice to help serve our patients,” Dr. Stan said. “We spend time with you and treat you like family, too.
“And because of that, we could easily see our family-owned and run practice still being here for another 45 years.”
In a world where families have more options than ever when it comes to choosing a trusted family dentist for their oral health, Rockwall residents continue to choose Lowrance Dental to keep their smiles looking great today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
Meet Dr. Stan
Dr. Stan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981. He furthered his education by completing studies at the Midwest Implant Institute of Columbus, Ohio, in 1991, where he received the Presidential Award. He also completed a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry that same year. He started Lowrance Dental from scratch, and it has grown into a practice that epitomizes experience, family, and a thirst for knowledge. Combined, they offer basic cleanings, fillings, implants, wisdom tooth extraction, teeth whitening, Invisalign, root canals, scaling and root planing, ceramic crowns and veneers, oral surgery, and customized IV and oral sedation. Lowrance Dental’s ability to keep almost all dental procedures in-house creates convenience and cost savings and ensures you’ll receive the highest quality treatment with a trusted dentist.
While all that education was great, what makes Dr. Stan stand out is his selfless heart. Lowrance Dental offers memberships where patients can pay a monthly fee and receive free or discounted services. Dr. Stan also hosts an annual complimentary dental clinic known as Dental Day for Veterans Day every November.
Meet Dr. Shanae
Dr. Shanae always saw herself following in her father’s footsteps. She grew up in Rockwall, where she graduated from Rockwall-Heath High School. She went on to attend Tarleton State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science and was a scholar collegiate athlete on the women’s basketball team. In May 2019, Dr. Shanae graduated from Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry and came to work under her father at Lowrance Dental.
She is also a current member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Meet Dr. Christina
Dr. Christina Leon grew up in Flower Mound, TX. She went on to continue her studies at Southern Methodist University, where she received a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in 2013.
Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, she moved to California to attend a formal pre-health post-baccalaureate program at San Francisco State University to strengthen her background in Biological studies. While there, she was able to participate in community outreach clinics such as CDA Cares where volunteers, dentists, and dental auxiliary came together to provide free dental services for the under-served community in the state. Patients were able to leave the clinic on the same day out of pain and with a huge smile on their face. These events further grew her passion to pursue dentistry.
Missing her true Texas roots, she moved back to Dallas in 2015 to attend Texas A&M University College of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Her favorite part of being a dentist is providing a positive experience for her patients and giving them the confidence to smile.
Meet Dr. Rylie
Dr. Rylie also grew up in the Rockwall area and then became a proud Aggie at Texas A&M University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2015, then attended Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. She graduated dental school in 2019 and worked as a general dentist serving the Louisville area for many years. Now that she’s back in her hometown, she looks forward to sharing her expertise with the Dallas community.
Dr. Rylie realized her passion for dentistry started at a young age. She is proud to be the first dentist in her family and believes in giving her patients the best experience possible in the dental chair. Their comfort is her top priority. She is so proud to be a part of the Lowrance Dental family, knowing their philosophy as family-owned practice matches her own.
The Right Choice for Your Dental Care
Dr. Stan and his team of dentists believe that having a healthy mouth is worth much more than a pretty, confident smile. Believe it or not, healthy teeth can improve your cardiovascular health, reduce risk of diabetes, and improve cognitive function as you age. That said, far too many people fall into the trap of dismissing even something simple as mild tooth pain, and the results can be catastrophic, such as developing tooth decay and gum disease.
New technology, advanced techniques, and a team of dentists who care about your overall health can make a world of difference. All you or a loved one has to do is schedule an appointment.
“We never stop learning and adapting to the newest technologies to help our patients,” Dr. Stan said. “More importantly, we spend time with you and treat you like family. We have different generations working as a team to add innovative treatments. I’m fortunate to have a team that puts family and people first.”
