Dr. Chen was born and raised in Houston. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston where she graduated salutatorian in 2013. Immediately after receiving her doctorate, Dr. Chen started her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, graduating with a post-doctoral certificate in pediatric dentistry and a Master of Science in dentistry in 2015.
Dr. Chen and her associates, Dr. Griffith and Dr. Badawi, provide the most personalized, individualized treatment for each and every patient. As the mother of seven and four-year-old sons, Dr. Chen understands the needs of children and how to calm and encourage them.

This specialized team also stays current on the latest treatments available. They have recently adopted a new system to address the oral microbiome. This system focuses on affecting the bacteria that cause cavities, making it more difficult for those bacteria to start a cavity.
