A Dallas–Fort Worth native, Crystal returned home with a mission: to invest her experience, leadership, and yes, her love of coffee, into the community that shaped her. “Mansfield isn’t just where I work—its home,” she says. “I wanted to help our hospital, our teams, and our city grow together.”

Under her leadership, Methodist Mansfield has grown into a 294-bed hospital that has welcomed over 23,000 babies, performed more than 53,000 surgeries, and cared for nearly 1.2 million patients in just 19 years. Yet Crystal measures success not only in numbers, but in people.

Crystal is a champion for people-focused and inclusive leadership. She has been instrumental in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across the health system, ensuring all team members feel valued, supported, and empowered to contribute. As Chair of the Women Healthcare Executives Network and board member of American College of Healthcare Executives North Texas, she mentors early and mid-career leaders, especially women advancing in healthcare, demonstrating that great leadership lifts others up. Her transformational style has earned her numerous awards, including the NAHSE DFW Executive of the Year in 2025 and a Texas House of Representatives Resolution in 2026.

Beyond the hospital walls, Crystal invests her time in Mansfield’s growth. She serves on the Mansfield ISD Education Foundation Board and the Mansfield Business Alliance Board, helping align education, workforce, and economic development. “When you invest in your people, they take care of the patients—and occasionally surprise you with a little extra kindness,” she jokes, reflecting her approachable style.

Even with a packed schedule, Crystal makes time to enjoy life—family, friends, travel, sports, and savoring good food. For her, leadership is about purpose, connection, and yes, a little fun along the way.
