Ask Regina Cross-Cook what motivates her to do the work she does and she won’t think twice. “I want to improve and maintain my health, my husband’s health, and the health of my family, friends, and patients,” she said. “This seems to be God’s plan for me.”

Regina’s journey began when, as a senior in high school, she was injured in a car accident. “My primary care doctor wanted to give me prescription pain killers and muscle relaxers,” Regina said. “I didn’t feel right about that.” Instead, she visited a chiropractor and found the relief she was seeking — drug-free. She eventually went to work for him andeven considered chiropractic college for herself. But life intervened and she went to work for a corporate ad agency, a job that saw her working with Fortune 500 companies around the globe, most healthcare related.

Fast forward a few decades and Regina found herself the wife of a chiropractor, working side by side with him as she provides nutritional counseling and health coaching to complement his chiropractic care. As a certified nutritionist, she partners with patients to help them not only feel better but truly get better, with the least amount of pharmaceutical or surgical intervention.

“We treat a lot of patients suffering with peripheral neuropathy who’ve been told by their primary-care doctor basically ‘medicate until you amputate,’” Regina said. “We work with them to heal from the inside and have had great luck reversing the damage using chiropractic tools and nutrition.” For Regina, the best days are the days a patient tells her they were able to get off pharmaceuticals or, at least, greatly reduce what they’re taking.

“Optimal health starts from within, and nutrition plays a pivotal role in achieving overall wellness,” Regina said. “Each of our patients is uniquely different. So, it’s important that we don’t go in with any preconceived notions about the recommendations we’ll make. We want to tailor dietary and supplement recommendations to specifically meet their unique biological needs.”

Her own struggles with serious autoimmune issues inform her practice. “I know what proper nutrition has done for me,” Regina said. “My greatest joy is digging in deep with my patients and helping them not only feel better but get better with whole foods and the cleanest nutritional supplements vs. synthetic nutrition and pharmaceuticals.”

Regina witnesses miracles every day. “Patients come to us in great pain and distress and through chiropractic care, acupuncture, neuropathy solutions, unique cranial care, cold therapy, decompression therapy, and nutritional counseling, we’re able to see them truly get better and live their best lives.”

When not on the job, Regina loves to garden, travel with her husband, and spend time with family, friends, and her three rescue pups. “We both love to learn, so much of our travel centers around conferences and classes,” she said. She’s a big supporter of CASA, Habitat for Humanity, the Shriners, and anything that “helps families be successful together.”
