Dr. Brigette Koetter has been an inspiring presence in the Rockwall community for the past 16 years. She is the owner of Dental Professionals of Rockwall, providing area residents with compassionate care in comprehensive dentistry to multiple generations of families. Caring for the needs of all age groups from toddlers to adults, she is known for her warm demeanor, treating patients like members of her own family.
Striving to be a key part of her patients’ team, Dr. Koetter provides and maintains the optimal oral care necessary for good overall health throughout their lives. Since the mouth is the human body’s portal to excellent health, “Keeping the teeth, mouth, and gums clean is an important step in the body’s overall wellness process,” she said.
Dr. Koetter’s award-winning work in prosthodontics and orthodontics allows patients to receive convenient continuity of care throughout their treatment plan. She offers complete in-office services, so patients don’t have to venture outside the Rockwall area. Her extensive continuing education allows her to work a cohesive treatment plan for patients with many options.
Mentoring Dental Students
Dr. Koetter is actively involved as a mentor to young women through the dental assisting program at the Gene Burton Career Center in Rockwall. Each semester, she has two to three students working toward certification as registered dental assistants by the time they graduate high school. Some are heading into the workforce, applying to hygiene school, or applying to dental school after they attend college. “It’s an amazing program that allows me to demonstrate what I love about dentistry,” she said.
Besides being a mentor to young ladies seeking a career in dentistry, Dr. Koetter is an active member of a study club. The round-table setting reviews difficult cases and creates the best solutions for patients.
She truly enjoys her job, passionately serving others. Educating herself on an ongoing basis, she remains knowledgeable and up to date with the latest technology and equipment. Her dedication and expertise allow her to be a leader in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Koetter is proud to surround herself with a cohesive team of strong women who bring varied capabilities and expertise to her practice. “I’m blessed to be working with people who love what they do.” Some have been working in the dental field for more than 20 years, sharing their knowledge and expertise with each other and their patients. “We’re well-educated in the field of dentistry and demonstrate how healthy relationships facilitate a successful work environment,” she explained. “We lift each other up and do work and life together.”
Elevating the Dental Experience
As dental technology continues to advance improvements in comfort and aesthetics, Dr. Koetter maintains her focus on elevating a patient’s dental experience with their comfort and convenience in mind.
Utilizing intraoral cameras and digital X-rays with small sensors makes routine exams easier and more pleasant. “We also have the most innovative method for creating dental restorations right here in our office,” she explained. CEREC is the revolutionary crown-development process where patients no longer need to have gooey, cumbersome impressions.
Patients can relax in the dental chair while Dr. Koetter replicates a 3D model of their mouth using a state-of-the-art scanner. The scanned image provides a computer-integrated database of their teeth, affording the patient and Dr. Koetter to view the results on a large screen together. Dr. Koetter then designs a custom porcelain crown that’s carved to her exact specifications. The patient goes home with the crown the same day, eliminating the need for a temporary restoration and extra appointments.
Take-Home Sleep Studies and Dental Evaluation
Routinely getting a good night’s sleep plays an important role in overall health and well-being. Snoring, grinding, and excessive wear and erosion on back molars are all signs pointing to sleep apnea. These successive periods of interrupted sleep during the night leave you feeling unrefreshed and groggy in the morning.
Dental Professionals of Rockwall offers easy and convenient take-home sleep studies to detect issues relating to dental health and quality of sleep. The results of the study are evaluated by a sleep specialist and sent to Dr. Koetter for review. If necessary, she’ll then design specific oral appliances or devices based on the results to help moderate to mild sleep apnea, especially for patients who can’t wear a CPAP device.
Family Time
Leisure time for Dr. Koetter is spent with her family. She is the mother of three children, ages 18, 14, and five. Her eldest daughter wants to pursue a career in dentistry. Like her mother’s start, she spends summers working in the front office, chairside with patients, and in sterilization. The mom/daughter duo are also active members in the National Charity League, a local community service and mother-daughter organization. They enjoy spending time together volunteering in and around Rockwall at Liberty Heights retirement home, Meals on Wheels, Patriot Paws, and many more organizations that appreciate their support. Dr. Koetter has future plans to include her son in the family business, too.
Dr. Koetter’s favorite activities include watching her children’s sporting events and traveling. “I love going on adventures with my family and exploring historical places.” She also likes finding new, thrilling activities, and watching her kids learn and discover something for the first time.
Dr. Koetter earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2007. While in dental school, she served two years as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate orthodontic department. She was recognized as a Senior Departmental Advanced Studies program participant in orthodontics and was honored with the John C. and Ruberta Weaver Award for Excellence in Periodontics and Prosthodontics. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
She looks forward to welcoming new patients and delivering generations of happy smiles to all her patients.
