Mansfield Family Dentistry was built on relationships. It all began in the early 80s, when Dr. John Bauer and his wife, Terri, decided Mansfield Texas—a place that had always felt like home—was the perfect place to settle down, raise their family, and open their family dental practice. Over the next four decades, the Bauers watched their kids grow up and begin families of their own even as they partnered with the families of Greater Mansfield providing them with a dental home for all their restorative and cosmetic dentistry needs.
They were even blessed to welcome their son, Dr. Cody Bauer, into the practice. Together they’ve participated in—even pioneered—dental advancements that have made dentistry gentler, more artistic, and far more precise.
Mansfield’s Dental Home
One particular joy has been welcoming patients they treated as children as they bring their own children to Mansfield Family Dentistry. They’re now treating three generations of many families offering them everything from simple cleanings and filling to advanced cosmetic procedures including teeth straightening and full-mouth makeovers. Once a family is comfortable under their care, there’s no need for them to be referred elsewhere for special services.

All the dental care they need can be found under this one roof. “When we realize, during a routine check-up, for instance, that a patient needs a root canal, tooth extraction, or dental implant or when they inquire about a cosmetic procedure, we don’t want to refer them out to an unfamiliar dental practice,” Dr. John said. “Cody and I have undertaken hundreds of hours of continuing education every year and investing in the latest, cutting-edge dental technology, so we can provide our patients with cosmetic procedures such as tooth whitening, porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays, Invisalign clear braces, and permanent dental implants, right here in their dental home.”
Dr. John and Dr. Cody place an emphasis on patient education. “We take seriously our job to provide each patient with the tools they need for a lifetime of vibrant oral health,” Dr. Cody said. “It’s not just about the health of your teeth but your overall health, as links have been made between oral health and the health of the rest of the body and the chance of developing heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and other serious illnesses.
