RHS Band Honored

The Richardson High School band has been named a 2019 Program of Excellence. The National Band Association award recognizes quality programs that challenge students and promote standards of excellence.

RHS band directors Jesus Marquez, David Schmuck, Ryan Reyna, Mark McKinney and Roland Muzquiz were honored at the 73rd Midwest Clinic International Band and Orchestra Conference in December, just one of six blue ribbon award winners from the Southwest United States. Congratulations to all the RHS band members, including the wind symphony, which was named Grand Champion at the 10th annual Dallas Winds 2019 festival earlier this year.
