Middle School Student Organizes Successful Golf Tourney

More than $3,000 was recently raised for local assistance programs thanks to the determined planning of a middle school student who once received assistance herself. “When I was younger, my mother and I received services from Friends of the Family,” Abbi said. “I started playing golf in Kindergarten, and a few months ago came up with the idea to host a family golf scramble to raise money to help other kids.” Golfers at the Drive for Awareness event enjoyed a beautiful day of golfing, great food, and prizes.
