A leading woman is defined by her dedication and impact. Mandy Cotten, family nurse practitioner, has embodied this by helping her patients feel better and live more empowered lives. Her passion for health and the well-being of her patients is evident in her care. As we age, many things slow down. One of those is hormone production. For women, that means our estrogen, testosterone and progesterone levels decline leading to unpleasant symptoms, such as night sweats and mood swings. Mandy has come to the aid of thousands of her patients—male and female—by educating them about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and how it can restore their vitality and wellness. At her Institute for Hormonal Balance, she’s spent years helping her patients live happier and age healthier with this revolutionary treatment.

“BHRT can be used to restore the normal level of hormones in your body when they’ve plummeted or are out of balance,” Mandy said. “Without proper hormone levels, your body deteriorates, which can lead to other problems such as osteoporosis and hearty disease because BHRT closely matches the chemical makeup of our own natural hormones, it can help decrease symptoms quickly and allows for a seamless transition as it restores your vitality and wellness.”

The Problem

Reduced hormones in women can cause vaginal dryness, loss of sex drive, painful intercourse, urinary incontinence, memory problems, dry skin, hair loss, insomnia, weight gain, and depression. Low testosterone levels in men can manifest as low energy, loss of sex drive, erectile dysfunction (ED), loss of muscle mass, weight gain, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, and mood changes.

The Solution

Because BHRT mimics your own natural hormones, it enters your body, goes directly to the receptor site, and alleviates these symptoms. With this therapy, Mandy’s patients have experienced balanced moods, improved sleep, reduced brain fog, decreased hot flashes, decreased vaginal dryness, increased stamina, increased muscle mass, decreased fat mass, and increased libido, typically noticing an improvement in seven-to-10 days. Mandy can tailor BHRT to your specific needs and administer it through your choice of creams, patches, pills, or pellets. “We recommend pellets because they maintain balance by delivering a steady flow of hormones,” Mandy said. She has performed over 30,000 pellet procedures—averaging 500 a month.
