No one knows the importance of quality and longevity like Melinda does. She was born in a home with no water or electricity in socialized Yugoslavia. Growing up in a broken home, Melinda was forced to make do with what she had, wearing the same pair of tattered sandals for years that she’d previously outgrown. Living a life of insecurity and poverty became her norm.

She decided never to go through what she did as a young child. “My passion and desire to help others was the result of my humble upbringing,” she said. Remembering those worn-out sandals that became makeshift shoes, she vowed to seek quality and longevity in items, which ultimately became a hallmark of her designs. Now a successful businesswoman, designer, and mentor, Melinda said, “You never know what the situation you’re enduring will lead to.”
