The U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, more popularly known as the Blue Angels, has selected a Richardson sailor to join their ranks. Many highly qualified Navy and Marine Corps officers submit applications to join the Blue Angels each year, but only a handful receive positions. Maintenance Officer Navy Lt. Brian Abe, currently assigned to the “Rampagers” of Strike Fighter Squadron 83, will join the group for their 2020 air show season, beginning training in Pensacola in November.
