Support Local NICUs at the Texas Tuxedo Gala

KamdynimageGoodie BagsKaylen’s Fight was created to honor the Kirby family’s daughter, who passed away in 2018 from hydrops fetalis. Kaylen’s twin sister, Kamdyn, spent 63 days in the NICU due to prematurity but is now a thriving, healthy five-year-old, thanks to the wonderful care and support she received from her NICU friends that are now family.

Since establishing Kaylen’s Fight in 2018, over $125,000 has been raised for the families at the same NICU where their twins spent their first days. In four years, they have jump-started and maintained the Beads of Courage program, donated goodie bags for holidays, created bereavement boxes for families experiencing infant loss, and provided care packages for over 250 families with prolonged NICU stays.

This year they have a big fundraising goal to help purchase a transport isolette to assist in getting babies back and forth safely for all testing they may need during their NICU stay.

Thanks to the help of their amazing sponsors and supporters last year, they raised $75,000. They hope to double the amount and finalize the purchase of the isolette and expand their services to other local NICUs.
