Dr. Randy Hamilton believes that extraordinary service shouldn’t be the exception in healthcare. It should be the rule. After all, what is a patient but a customer. And the “customers” of iKids Pediatric Dentistry and Braces on Broad, which he also owns, have come to expect over-the-top service at every visit.
More than that, Dr. Hamiliton looks at each person who enters his door as a guest to his practice. “When I founded iKids, my vision was of a place where children felt safe, parents felt heard, and every interaction reflected genuine care,” he said. “I’ve always believed that how you make people feel matters as much as the quality of the dentistry you provide.” His young patients and their parents would certainly agree.
In fact, Dr. Hamilton’s commitment to creating a remarkable experience has led to iKids receiving national recognition for their customer service. “What makes me proudest is that the recognition was a byproduct of our culture—not the goal,” he said.
As a father of five, it’s not hard for Dr. Hamilton to put himself in the shoes of other parents. He knows, if one of his children were undergoing dental treatment, he’d want to be there with them. “We were one of the first dental offices to allow parents to come back with their children to be a part of their dental experience,” he said. “I believe, if you’re a great pediatric dentist, you’ll happily welcome parents to share in the experience.”
When he first opened his practice in Mansfield 16 years ago, Dr. Hamilton was a young husband and father. Today, three of his five children are in college, one at Mansfield High School, and one will be there soon. “It’s been a privilege to grow both a practice and a family in this amazing community,” he said. “The trust families have placed in our team as we care for their children—both dentally and orthodontically—is something I hold in the highest regard. It’s been an honor to grow alongside this city and serve the families who’ve supported us for so many years.”
One of Dr. Hamilton’s greatest blessings has been practicing dentistry alongside his two brothers, Ross and Blane. Three dentist brothers practicing together might sound like a great premise of an 80s sitcom. But for the Drs. Hamilton, it’s been the recipe for a rewarding career as they share a vision of leadership, hard work, and strong Christian values and serve the families of Mansfield together. Dr. Randy Hamilton has had the added blessing of seeing two of his five children pursue dental careers themselves. One as a Pediatric Dentist and the other an Orthodontist.
A proud USAF veteran, mentor, popular lecturer and published author, Dr. Hamilton’s greatest joy comes in those rare moments when all of his family is together. He wants to give a special shout-out to his dental team who he recognizes are the heart of everything their patients experience. “They truly are the dream team,” he said.
