For many families in our community, allergy season isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a yearly struggle that affects school days, outdoor activities, family routines, and overall quality of life. As soon as the weather shifts, pollen such as ragweed, oak, or mountain cedar fills the air. Sinus pressure returns, eyes begin to itch, and breathing comfortably becomes a daily challenge. And for parents, nothing is harder than watching a child struggle — whether it’s sleepless nights from congestion or the constant worry that comes with managing food allergies at school, birthday parties, or even at the dinner table.
You’ve tried over-the-counter medications. You’ve followed advice from friends. You’ve read every food label twice. But the relief never lasts — and the uncertainty grows. That’s often when families begin searching for real answers, long-term solutions, and a medical team that truly understands the unique challenges of allergy care. That’s where Family Allergy & Asthma Care comes in.
Treating allergy patients is often like solving a mystery, requiring time spent listening, gathering information, and creating a treatment plan that genuinely works for each individual and family.
For more than 32 years, Family Allergy & Asthma Care has been proud to serve this community with a commitment to exceptional, family-centered care. When you visit their office, you’ll find a team dedicated to providing the most up-to-date treatments for a wide range of allergic, asthmatic, and immunologic conditions. Their clinics offer many diagnostic procedures right onsite, allowing families to receive timely answers and personalized care without the stress of multiple appointments.
From evaluating complex food allergies to managing chronic asthma, environmental allergies, or immune-related concerns, their fellowship-trained, board certified allergists combine advanced medical expertise with a compassionate, community-focused approach. And the best part? They’re also moms — professionals who understand firsthand the importance of safety, trust, and thoughtful care when it comes to your family’s health.
MEET MARY HUDELSON, MD — DABAI, DIRECTOR
Dr. Hudelson has always approached allergy care with the curiosity of a detective and the heart of a healer. To her, every patient brings a unique story, and the joy comes from listening closely, uncovering clues, and building a treatment plan that truly fits their life. When she founded Family Allergy & Asthma Care in 1993, she set out to create a practice unlike any other — one designed to make visits easier, more efficient, and truly patient centered. From offering a wide range of diagnostic services in one place to ensuring each visit is supported by skilled, compassionate team members, she built a model of care that puts comfort and convenience first.
Her passion for caring for families was shaped during her military service in Operation Desert Storm, where she served the dependents of deployed service members in Italy. That experience inspired her to choose allergy and immunology, a specialty that allowed her to care for patients of every age. As a proud TCU alumna, she carried forward the Horned Frog spirit of leadership, service, and innovation into her medical career. Decades later, she still finds joy in seeing multiple generations return to her care.
For Dr. Hudelson, being an allergist is more than a profession — it’s a calling, and she’s grateful every day for the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families she serves.
MEET SUSAMITA (SUMI) KESH, MD — DABAI
Dr. Kesh is passionate about finding the roots of her patients’ allergy concerns and empowering them through education, partnership, and personalized care. Her advanced training at Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center — one of the nation’s top allergy programs — equipped her with exceptional expertise, especially in caring for patients of all ages with food allergies, a population she loves supporting. As a board-certified allergist and immunologist, she treats the full range of allergies, asthma, and immune deficiency conditions, offering comprehensive support for families navigating all aspects of immunologic care.
She works closely with every family to build a medical plan that feels thoughtful, safe, and tailored to their needs, ensuring they feel heard and supported at every step of their allergy journey. Whether she’s helping a child navigate food allergies or guiding an adult toward better quality of life, Dr. Kesh consistently goes above and beyond for her patients. Her goal is simple yet powerful: to help people reclaim the activities they love — travel, outdoor adventures, sports, and everyday joy without allergies holding them back.
Serving this community brings her deep joy, and she treasures the opportunity to care for patients and their families with compassion and expertise.
MEET SMRIDHI (SIMI) MAHAJAN, MD — DABAI
Dr. Mahajan brings a thoughtful blend of expertise, deep clinical insight, and heartfelt connection to her work in allergy and immunology. After completing her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/Children’s Medical Center, she developed a deep appreciation for caring for patients across every stage of life — from infants experiencing their first allergic reactions to adults managing complex asthma or immunologic conditions. She has particular interests in asthma management, environmental allergies, and drug allergy evaluation and delabeling, and she loves the detective-like process of uncovering outdated medication labels to open doors to safer, more effective treatments.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mahajan embraces the same joy she hopes to restore in her patients — exploring the outdoors, traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, diving into podcasts, and gathering friends and family around the table. Her approach to care is rooted in partnership, compassion, and empowerment, and she is genuinely excited to walk alongside each patient on their journey toward better health and a life filled with the activities they love.
MEET DEVIKA PILLAY, DO — DABAI
Dr. Pillay is passionate about partnering with patients and families to uncover the root of their allergy concerns and create personalized plans that truly improve daily life. With a strong foundation in pediatrics and the lived experience of being a mom, she brings a uniquely compassionate, family-centered approach to caring for individuals from infancy through adulthood. Dr. Pillay completed her pediatric residency at the Dell Medical School Pediatric Residency Program, followed by advanced subspecialty training in the Allergy & Immunology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Her academic work includes contributions to national allergy literature, including research on newborn screening for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and publications focused on health equity, asthma care, and pediatric allergy education. Having seen loved ones struggle with allergies, asthma, and eczema, she understands how deeply these conditions can affect daily life — and she is committed to listening closely, tailoring treatment to each person’s goals, and empowering patients with the knowledge they need to feel confident in their care.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Pillay enjoys sunny days with her husband, son, and two dogs, exploring new restaurants, traveling, hosting loved ones, baking for others, and even teaching dance when she can. She believes that understanding your health is one of the most powerful tools you can have, and she is honored to support her patients as they work toward lasting relief and the confidence to fully embrace their daily lives with greater comfort and joy.
