Frank Rodriguez was one of those kids who was born running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking, dribbling, and pushing himself to be faster, better, and more accurate. And like any naturally athletic kid, he saw his share of sports injuries—in himself and his teammates. He saw and lived the frustration of being sidelined from doing the things he was born to do. I guess it was only natural that he’d dedicate himself to helping others like himself—and those of us who are less athletically gifted—stay “in the game”.
As an orthopedic surgeon, it’s his life’s work and his absolute joy to help people from all walks of life reduce their pain and restore their bodies’ functionality and mobility. It’s something that’s brought him joy and fulfillment for over three decades. “There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a patient who came to me riddled with pain and limitations get back to the active life they love, whether that’s training for a marathon or being able to play on the floor with the grandkids,” he said.
Dr. Rodriguez places an emphasis on patient education and empowerment, spending time with each patient explaining their options, answering their questions, and putting their minds at ease. As his practice has grown, he’s settled into a specialty in reconstruction, replacement, and arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip, and knee. Online reviews extol his warm bedside manner, treating patients like family, some of them, for over twenty-five years and multiple joint replacement. Loyal patients routinely encourage their family members to come to Dr. Rodriguez for care, as he improves the lives of several members of the same family.
Frank Rodriguez lives with his wife Kimberly, the love of his life, his best friend, biggest cheerleader, and partner of over 40 years. They’re proud to call Texas home and wouldn’t dream of living anywhere else. Together they’ve raised three amazing kids and are head over heel in love with their first grandchild, a little girl. They love the Dallas Fort Worth area because to them it offers the best combination of professional opportunities and lots of SPORTS!
In his free time, Dr. Rodriguez indulges his love of sports by cycling, attending college football games, and collecting sports memorabilia, especially sports cards from the ‘60s and ‘70s. In fact, he owns some of the top basketball cards in the world. The family dog, Duncan, the ninth Golden Retriever the Rodríguezes’ have owned, even got his name from a former Spurs star, Tim Duncan.
Dr. Rodriguez’s home-away-from-home is Christ Chapel Bible Church in Burleson. He and his wife enjoy Bible study and putting God first in everything they do. Dr. Rodriguez cherishes the opportunity to share the gospel with his patients and often prays with them before surgeries.
