Dr. Holly Fisher Britt and her outstanding team of optometry associates at Eyecare Rockwall have provided patients with excellence in eye care for the past 30 years. Multiple generations of families have been treated by Dr. Britt’s team, combining state-of-the-art technology with optical innovation to deliver premium-level services and products.

Dr. Britt is the founder of Eyecare Rockwall and has successfully diagnosed and treated patients with an uncompromising commitment to wellness as a whole. She oversees her associate doctors and her practice but no longer schedules appointments with patients due to current family responsibilities. She oversees the care of her elderly mother in Oklahoma and travels back and forth to Gulf Breeze, Florida, where her husband is a chiropractor in private practice.

While other less established practices are streamlining services, performing remote exams, or shuffling patients in and out at a rapid rate, Eyecare Rockwall’s associate doctors enjoy meeting their patients on a personal level, knowing them by name, and making them feel like extended family members. Unlike a big corporate entity that performs quick and impersonal exams, Drs. Wiese, Lieu, Moulder, and Neiman spend face-to-face quality time with patients for examinations, ensuring eyesight is healthy and identifying any issues that may hinder their acuity and function in the future. Searching for new ways to bring cutting-edge eye care to patients has always been their priority.

Highly Experienced Team

A distinguished team of four highly-regarded Doctors of Optometry have been chosen by Dr. Britt to diagnose and treat Eyecare Rockwall’s patients. Each doctor brings a unique set of specializations and skills to the practice, working cohesively to solve patients’ eye concerns. All are licensed and certified therapeutic optometric glaucoma specialists, with certifications for Ortho-K, MiSight & Stellest myopia control for children, Medico-Scleral, Neurolens and Avulux lens technologies.

Laura E. Wiese, OD

Dr. Wiese is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, a therapeutic optometrist, and a certified glaucoma specialist practicing general medical optometry. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1997, garnering many awards and recognition. She practices general medical optometry with special interests in dry eye management, diabetic eye care, eye infections, and contact lenses.

Thuy Lieu, OD

Dr. Lieu graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric glaucoma specialist, with interests in diabetic eye health and ocular disease treatment and management. Dr. Lieu loves children and is certified in various myopia control modalities and has gained valuable experience in managing various anterior and posterior conditions.

She enjoys fitting all types of contact lenses, including Ortho-K, Scleral Lenses and hard-to-fit RGPs. She also provides consultation and management for cataracts and refractive surgeries.

Ross Moulder, OD

Dr. Moulder earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is certified in myopia management for children. He is experienced in specialty contact lens fittings and co-management of laser refractive and cataract surgery. He specializes in emergency eye care, as well as medical management and treatment of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye disease.

Thomas Neiman, OD

Dr. Neiman is a graduate of the Rosenberg School of Optometry at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). He is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and certified optometric glaucoma specialist in the management of ocular diseases including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. He has a particular passion for treating dry eye syndrome and ocular emergencies. He offers comprehensive primary eye care for families, including myopia control for children and fitting adults with their first pair of progressive lenses to combat presbyopia.

Dry Eye Relief and Myopia Control

“Many systemic conditions and medications can lead to dry eyes,” Dr. Britt said. Her team strives to determine the root cause of a patient’s dry eyes, rather than simply treating symptoms. They are passionate about utilizing the latest in pharmaceuticals and state-of-the-art equipment to provide lasting relief to patients. Dry eye concerns can be identified in a routine vision exam and be further addressed medically, if needed. Eyecare Rockwall also offers various therapies to control myopia (nearsightedness) including Ortho-K, atropine eye drops, multifocal eyeglasses, and specialty contact lenses. 

Migraine Treatment and Eye Misalignment Lenses

Neurolens and Avulux lenses are the latest technologies in eyeglasses targeting migraine relief. Neurolens’ curved lens prism technology offers amazing support for patients with misaligned eyes. Avulux lenses are an FDA-approved option for those suffering from visually evoked and light-sensitivity migraines. These specialty lenses offer relief of pain due to eye strain and stress. A migraine patient herself, Dr. Britt has found life-changing relief from visual triggers with Neurolens. An optional eye-monitoring test can be performed at a routine vision exam to determine whether these lenses would be beneficial to the patient.

Onsite Optical Lab

With an optical lab onsite, they are the only optometry practice in a 25-mile radius that can make lenses and eyeglasses within an hour, according to Dr. Britt. She also says they’re the only practice in the area offering Neurolens and Avulux.
