While many family law firms have highly capable attorneys to walk clients through the practical aspects of divorce, Nelson Law Group believes that exceptional legal representation means caring for the whole person. That is why the firm built a dedicated Client Care team that includes Rahna S. Cutting and Sarah Green. While the focus is often on divorce, the team supports clients across all family law matters, including cases where married and unmarried parents need court-established orders for custody, visitation, and child support.
Any family law matter is personal, deeply emotional, unique to each individual involved, and comes with a myriad of emotions. Alongside those emotions, there are practical matters to navigate, such as division of assets, child custody, child support, spousal support, and community and separate property. The list goes on.
Litigation consultant and mediator, Rahna, supports the legal side of your case using her mental health experience. A licensed professional counselor for over 30 years, Rahna worked with families and individuals in a private counseling practice. As a court clinician for 15 years, she gained experience in both criminal and civil litigation, participating in over 500 court-appointed evaluations and testifying more than 50 times. Rahna co-parented after her own divorce and now works with clients to prepare for a psychological evaluation, contested custody evaluation, co-parenting counseling, and more.
Rahna shares, “Ours is the only family law practice in the state of Texas with a divorce coach and mediator, and a licensed professional counselor, both on staff. Divorce is hard on everyone involved. There’s a lot we can do to prepare our clients to come out the other side in the best possible position, not just legally, but emotionally.”
Divorce coach and mediator, Sarah, works with you and the members of your professional team, whether at Nelson Law Group or not, to help you achieve the best possible outcomes. She serves as your thinking partner and sounding board, helping you navigate difficult conversations, strengthen communication, and gain the clarity you need to move forward with confidence.
As Sarah describes it, “While I can’t give legal advice, I can walk with a client through their divorce journey, talk through their decisions, and help them consider all the variables of an offer and what it will look like in five years, in 10 years. My goal is to help reduce the spiritual, emotional, and financial impact on themselves and their families.”
Sarah welcomes speaking engagements and is passionate about bringing these important conversations to professional organizations, community groups, and anyone navigating the emotional side of family law.
