No one looks forward to hearing the words “gum surgery.” Dr. Miles Mason understands that, and it shapes how he cares for every patient.
“No one wants to come to the dentist for gum surgery, and the first thing we try to do is to slow things down a bit to calm and reassure them,” he says. “That means easing their fears by carefully explaining what is going on in their mouth and what their treatment options are.”
The same considerate care extends to dental implants. “Our goal with implants is to provide our patients with a healthy, solid foundation similar to their original teeth,” he says.
Thanks to this thoughtful, measured approach, patients often say Dr. Mason leaves them hopeful rather than fearful.
A board certified periodontist with 13 years of experience, Dr. Mason trained at UT Austin, Columbia University, and UTHealth Science Center in Houston, and has taught at the UT School of Dentistry.
He wants everyone to know that gum disease can be quiet. Symptoms like occasional bleeding or receding gums are easy to dismiss, but they deserve attention.
For Dr. Mason, his dental practice is personal. He grew up in the area, is a proud father of three, and is committed to providing local residents with the highest-quality periodontal care. Readers have noticed his commitment, voting the practice Best Of in Living Magazine’s Readers’ Choice awards eight times since 2018. Currently, the practice is expanding its office in The Woodlands to welcome more of its neighbors.
