For Fisher & Zitterich Dentistry, 2025 marks a major milestone — 35 years of providing exceptional dental care to their community and beyond. Whether for a new or a long-time patient, FZ Dentistry has been a trusted part of Rockwall, Heath, and the Lake Ray Hubbard region for decades. And many of their patients have been with them since the beginning in 1990… as have generations of families now!
Since moving to their current location at 1306 Summer Lee Drive five years ago, the practice has furthered its reputation for not only its extraordinary care, but also for its commitment to creating lasting relationships with their patients.
Dr. Michael Fisher, Dr. Marisa Zitterich, Dr. Monica Fisher, and Dr. Salma Haneef make up the talented group of doctors that leads the entire FZ team in providing expert dental care to their patients since 1990.
As a family-owned and oriented practice, they understand the importance of creating a comfortable, welcoming environment for relationships to grow. This is why, when you step into the office, you’re more than just a patient — you’re part of the Fisher & Zitterich family. From routine checkups to the most complex dental procedures available, these skilled professionals offer comprehensive services personally tailored to meet the needs of each patient. In 2025, they celebrate not only their legacy of excellence but also the countless smiles, and lives, they’ve impacted over the years.
From the moment you walk in the door, you will see and feel a difference from so many other healthcare providers. You enter into a spotless and beautiful space to be greeted instantly by a smiling face at an open reception desk, not someone behind a glass sliding door that’s typically closed. The entire team and the doctors are friendly and professional from start to finish. Their prominent location also offers convenience for families and individuals in Rockwall, Heath, and the surrounding areas. However, their patients don’t seek them out just for their convenience. Some patients routinely travel to see them from all across the state, and some fly in from other parts of the country.
Why do so many seek them out, and what sets FZ Dentistry apart from so many practices? Their doctors are widely known for personally designing each smile, whether with composite bonding, conservative ceramic veneers, an entire smile make-over, or a complete implant rehabilitation. They know not everyone needs the same care or wants the same smile, so they work with each person to create a plan developed just for them. “Our patients tell us they really appreciate the individual time we spend with each of them,” says Dr. Michael Fisher. For those considering cosmetic or implant dentistry, instead of a cold clinical exam, they offer complimentary one-hour consultations that begin with a casual conversation with one of the doctors and their treatment coordinator Pam. Why? Because the FZ doctors have vowed to never treat a stranger. They want to get to know each patient as a person, to know what’s important to them and what their desires are, both for their oral and overall health.
Dr. Marisa Zitterich adds, “We’re continually working to lead the way with the very latest advancements in care, because technology is constantly changing. What we can offer our patients changes as well.” To that end, the FZ doctors and team are setting the pace with state-of-the-art services such as DSD (Digital Smile Design), 3D scanning for the most detailed and comprehensive diagnostics available, CAD-CAM design and fabrication of same-day crowns and veneers, digitally guided implant planning and placement, fully digital radiography (X-rays), and even 3D scanning and printing to create precise models of your teeth without messy impressions.
“Our patients appreciate that we place such a high priority on personal and professional growth,” says Dr. Monica Fisher, the newest graduate to join the practice. As such, she can help merge techniques and materials currently taught in dental schools with the decades or training and skill that FZ already possesses. The doctors of FZ Dentistry love growing in their skills and abilities, and those of their team as well, to better serve their patients. For example, when the Texas State Board requires dentists to take an average of 12 hours of continuing education courses per year to stay current with their licensure, FZ doctors may complete upwards of 50 hours annually. And they’ve even taught other dentists over the years as well.
Dental emergencies don’t happen on a schedule, and Fisher & Zitterich Dentistry understands the urgency of getting prompt care. Whether it’s a painful toothache, a broken tooth, or any other dental emergency, the team is there to provide quick relief and effective treatment, and they excel at offering appointments the same day you call.
Along with Pam, Cayley, Patti, Melanie, Angie, Theresa, Sheri, Kamryn, Jessica, Bridgette, Brooke G, Brooke B, Bre, Jan, Sarah, and Carla, the FZ team loves continuing the FZ legacy by serving their patients and treating them like family. Knowing affordability is important, all traditional dental insurances are accepted, and in-house membership and financing plans are available.
