Laura Ferring GEICO Flower Mound

Laura Ferring isn’t only your local GEICO insurance agent right here in Flower Mound, but she’s also a dedicated mom and grandma, an active community leader, and a budding pilot. She finds purpose in more than just the policies she writes. Her true passion lies in making the world a better place, one person at a time.

“I’ve always aspired to be like my grandmother,”
Laura says. “She was a stay-at-home mom who supported my grandfather and family in every way, and I admired the care and love she gave to our family. She made every meal one-of-a-kind from scratch. That kind of selflessness and dedication stuck with me.”

With her grandmother as a guiding influence, Laura went on to build a life that blends her passion for family with her career and community involvement. She’s worked at GEICO for over 20 years, and when the opportunity to own her own agency arose, she took the leap. “I was a single mom for 16 years, raising my oldest daughter on my own. I think that experience taught me a lot about perseverance and independence,” Laura says. “It made me want to provide for others, whether through insurance or community service.”

As the proud owner of the GEICO office in Flower Mound, Laura leads a team of nine people. What truly drives her is the ability to help and educate others. “The most rewarding thing is seeing a customer leave with the peace of mind that they’re protected,” she says.

Laura’s role in the community is equally impactful. As a leader in the National Charity League, Laura works alongside her daughters to teach the next generation the importance of service. She also serves as a Girl Scout troop leader, empowering young girls to become confident and compassionate leaders. “It’s about setting an example,” Laura says. “I want to inspire my children and those around me to not only be successful but to help others along the way.”

In addition to her work with local charities, Laura dedicates time to numerous organizations, including the Denton Civil Air Patrol, the Daughters of the American Revolution – The Flower Mound Chapter, and the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce. Despite her many commitments, Laura manages to balance it all with grace and love for her family. “I help my oldest daughter take care of my grandchild a few days a week,” she says. “Even then, I bring my work with me. It’s about making sure everyone is taken care of, no matter what.”

With a heart full of love for her family and her community, Laura continues to touch lives, one policy and one act of kindness at a time. She encourages everyone to do a springtime policy review to refresh themselves on their coverage.
