It’s not every day that a high school trip to Washington, D.C., sparks a lifelong career. But for Candace Sandifer, that’s exactly what happened. While most teens were probably snapping photos of monuments, Candace was busy chatting with city leaders, lobbyists, and lawyers, realizing this was the path she wanted to follow.

“My high school teachers really inspired me to pursue my interests and believed in my potential,” she says. With their support, Candace focused on pre-law during her time at Texas Christian University (TCU), where she graduated cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While at TCU, she gained valuable hands-on experience by interning at a law firm in Fort Worth, which solidified her passion for the legal field. Candace returned to Washington, D.C., to attend the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, where she earned her JD in 2007, graduating with distinction.

Now, as a trusted partner at the Houser Firm, Candace combines her legal expertise with a genuine passion for helping her clients navigate some of life’s most important decisions. Whether it’s creating a will, establishing trusts, or simply getting your affairs in order, Candace is the friendly expert you can count on.

One key aspect of Candace’s practice is helping clients regularly review their estate plans. “Some plans should be reviewed annually, others every five years,” she says. If you have young kids at home, Candace suggests revisiting your plans every 10 years. “As your children grow older, they may need to start planning themselves,” she says. Major life events like divorce also require updates to ensure the plan reflects current wishes.

Candace takes great pride in helping clients during vulnerable moments. “What I find most rewarding is knowing I’m helping people through tough times,” she says. “The greatest satisfaction is ensuring my clients can rest easy, confident their affairs are in order.”

Since joining the Houser Firm in 2019, Candace has expanded the firm’s presence in Southlake while maintaining a close-knit, family-oriented practice. She’s also actively involved in the community, having served as board chair of the Colleyville Chamber of Commerce and participated in local chambers of commerce in Colleyville, Southlake, and Grapevine.

When she’s not in the office or volunteering, Candace enjoys cooking and meal planning, which she finds to be a perfect stress reliever. “Cooking is my way to unwind. I love planning meals and changing them with the seasons,” she says.

Candace also enjoys traveling with her family, reading and listening to podcasts, and volunteering with her son through the Young Men’s Service League. “Volunteering allows me to connect with people and make a real difference,” she says.

Whether you’re looking to create a will, establish a trust, or simply ensure your family’s future is secure, Candace is here to provide the peace of mind that comes with knowing your affairs are in order. Reach out to her today at HouserFirm.com.
