A native Houstonian, Dr. Chen comes from a family of dental specialists. Her mother is a pediatric dentist, her father is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and her brother and sister are both orthodontists.
Following in her parents’ footsteps, Dr. Chen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas School of Dentistry, where she graduated salutatorian in 2013. She then started her residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, graduating with a post-doctoral certificate in pediatric dentistry and a Master of Science in dentistry in 2015.
Dr. Chen’s postdoctoral training included years of in-depth training in topics such as anxiety management, growth and development, and pediatric oral pathology. Her deep understanding of both the clinical and emotional aspects of pediatric dental care allow her to provide not only the best possible treatment but also a comfortable, stress-free experience.
