Methodist Medical Group is excited to open their newest primary care facility, Methodist Family Health Center – Prosper, this March and welcome Dr. William Dodge as the new physician. Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Dodge has served North Texas communities for the past 25 years he’s been in practice.
Methodist Health System is known for engaging the communities it serves. Dr. Dodge says he was impressed when he heard about the state-of-the-art services they offer and the great experiences patients have had. “I’m privileged to join an organization with such a great reputation, and I’m excited to be a part of a beautiful, new facility that services the growing Prosper area.”
Formerly located and practicing in McKinney, Dr. Dodge helped to grow the Methodist McKinney Hospital since its doors opened years ago. In addition to serving patients at Methodist Family Health Center – Prosper, he ultimately looks forward to helping Methodist Celina Medical Center grow as well.
The new primary care office will provide convenient, quality care for the entire family. Dr. Dodge will serve patients of all ages, from infants to adults and the elderly. The facility has 2,600 square feet and six exam rooms. Methodist Medical Group is leasing the space, but it’s an all-new buildout.
Since Methodist Family Health Center – Prosper facility is located directly across the street from the Prosper football stadium, Dr. Dodge looks forward to serving high-school athletes with sports medicine and health screenings. His special interests include preventive medicine, asthma, geriatrics, musculoskeletal, and sports medicine.
Dr. Dodge graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His family medicine residency training was completed in 1998 at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.
He and his wife have two daughters and two loveable dogs. He enjoys family time, outdoor photography, cooking, and Dallas Cowboys football. He looks forward to meeting and treating patients in Prosper, where his extended family has lived for years.
Methodist Medical Group will open the new primary care location in Prosper on March 4, 2024. This will be the first primary care office in the market of Methodist Health System’s newest hospital located in the rapidly growing town of Celina, where the population has nearly tripled since 2010.
The hospital represents a multimillion-dollar investment in the town of Celina. The four-story, 200,000-square-foot hospital located in northern Collin County will serve Celina, Prosper, and surrounding communities, while offering a range of services from cardiovascular and cancer care to women’s services, orthopedics, and robotic surgery.
Methodist Family Health Center – Prosper is owned and operated by MedHealth/Methodist Medical Group and staffed by independently practicing physicians who are employees of MedHealth/Methodist Medical Group. The physicians and staff who provide services at these sites are not employees or agents of Methodist Health System or any of its affiliated hospitals.
