Bryan S. Armijo, MD

From a young age, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon Dr. Bryan S. Armijo knew he wanted to bring hope and healing to people through the practice of medicine. His grandmother was affected by breast cancer and didn’t have the option of reconstructive surgery. Her experience sparked something inside him — he wanted better for cancer survivors.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to help patients feel whole again after a mastectomy,” says Dr. Armijo, who specializes in reconstructive surgery for the breast. “Whether it’s reconstructive or aesthetic surgery, it’s a great feeling to restore their confidence.”

In practice for nearly two decades, Dr. Armijo uses his artistic eye and extensive training to provide his patients with compassionate care and stunning results. One patient says, “Dr. Armijo is so kind and patiently answered all my questions. Accessibility to the team is a big differentiator at Dr. Armijo’s practice. “Patients are always thankful it’s easy to get in touch with me or a member of my team,” he says. “So much of today’s medicine is handled through messaging platforms. This can be great, but it’s helpful to hear a human voice on the other end of the phone to help alleviate any worries.”

Dr. Armijo earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University and University Hospitals.

Part of the renowned Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, Dr. Armijo is also a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Dallas Medical Society, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Armijo enjoys exercising and simply spending time with his wife and three children. A lover of the great outdoors, he says if he wasn’t a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, he just might be an archaeologist or a forest ranger. Fortunately for the Dallas community, Dr. Armijo followed his heart in helping people heal not only physically but also emotionally. “I want to grant closure to patients as they emerge from a challenging time and give them hope,” he says. “I want them to look and feel their very best.”
