Connections Wellness Group – Prosper brings life-enhancing, personalized, comprehensive mental health solutions and an innovative, integrated treatment model to the Greater Prosper area.

From general mental health care for adolescents and adults to PHP (partial hospitalization programs) and IOP (intensive outpatient programs), the practice’s collaborative team of mental health professionals provides a high level of care, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. Connections Wellness Group – Prosper was recently voted 2023 Best Behavioral Therapy, Best Counseling, and Best Psychiatrist, garnering three Living Magazine Readers’ Choice awards.

“We’re continually growing and evolving to meet the needs of the community,” says Prosper’s Executive Director, Amanda Manchack, LCSW-S. “Our amazing group includes licensed therapists and counselors, a registered nurse, a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, a dietician, a teacher, and an invaluable support team that works closely together to provide a holistic approach to mental healthcare. They truly are the rock stars here.”

Ground-breaking Virtual IOP and PHP Program

Group programs include IOPs and more intensive PHPs designed to help clients who need more than one or two hours of weekly therapy.

“These programs are group-oriented, but we also tailor treatment to each person’s level of functioning,” Amanda explains.

With a high demand for PHP and IOP, Amanda and her team brainstormed on making these services more convenient and accessible for more people, especially working adults. Their solution was to develop a virtual adult IOP and PHP combination program. The 12-week curriculum runs from 4 PM to 8 PM, Monday through Friday, with IOP participants given a little more flexibility in the schedule.

“We cover a different theme each week. An example is self-esteem building. We discuss what it is and how it affects your mental health, then focus on skill-building. Then clients have time to process in an open forum that offers a positive environment and support system,” Amanda says.

For Parents and Caregivers

According to research, one in six U.S. youth aged six to 17 experience a mental health disorder each year. Amanda holds a virtual support group on Wednesdays from 6 PM to 7 PM for parents and caregivers with children who have a mental health diagnosis. Call the Prosper location for
