Dr. Kristin Schmidt and her
outstanding team see women through all the stages of their lives: the teen
years, pregnancy, childbirth, and the changes that come with
menopause. They provide guidance, compassion, and information for
each patient in warm and welcoming surroundings. Some of the babies Dr.
Schmidt has delivered are now coming to her as adults. This testifies to the

She completed her undergraduate degree at
Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She began practicing in west Houston
and Katy in 2000 after completing her medical degree from the University of
Texas Houston Medical Branch where she also completed her residency in
obstetrics and gynecology.

As a busy mom with four children, Dr. Schmidt
can relate to the changes that happen over the length of a woman’s lifespan.
She has personally experienced pregnancy, childbirth, and child raising along
with the blessings and stresses of family life. This gives her a clear understanding
of what many of her patients are experiencing and creates a strong
bond.

As a fifth-generation Katy resident, Dr.
Schmidt takes great pride in supporting the women of her community with an exemplary
level of care. She has training in the latest technologies, including
gynecologic surgery tools such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and da Vinci®
Robotic surgery. But the human aspect of her practice comes first. She loves
getting to know her patients and forming

lifelong relationships.

Dr. Schmidt offers medical services with a
personal touch. Because her practice is smaller, she can stay involved in her
patients’ care and works to make herself available for regular
visits.

Dr. Schmidt’s greatest joy in her work is
obstetrics.

“There is nothing so fulfilling as bringing
new life into the world,” she says. “As a physician, it’s one of the most
gratifying things I do.”

services, you’ll find an experienced and educational approach. Dr. Schmidt
and her staff take extra time with an expecting mom’s first visit, which
usually includes a thorough physical exam, an ultrasound and possibly a
complete blood panel. This provides an opportunity for any questions the expectant
mom may have and any additional tests Dr. Schmidt feels are needed. Future
appointments will ensure that mom and baby are progressing normally and in
the very best of health. In addition, Dr. Schmidt offers hormone optimization

Annette Garcia may be the first of Dr.
Schmidt’s team a patient will encounter. She has worked with Dr. Schmidt in
other medical practices before helping her open her own current solo
practice. Annette’s experience and helpful attitude will make it easy to

Jill Guzman, Dr. Schmidt’s nurse for over 20
years, welcomes patients with warmth and openness, ready to help them tackle
any health challenges. Her compassion for others makes her a perfect fit for

The newest member of Dr. Schmidt’s team is
Patricia Bruha, nurse practitioner. A long-time resident of the Houston area,
Patty completed the women’s health care nurse practitioner program at the
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado, where she
began her advanced practice nursing career at Kaiser-Permanente. She was
exposed to OB-GYN care as a student nurse and knew she had found her place.
Her priorities center around strong listening skills and treating patients
with respect, kindness, and dignity. She provides a generous amount of
patient education to ensure her patients have all the information they need
to make the best decisions regarding their health.

Alda Patiño has been with Dr. Schmidt as a
wellness and aesthetic consultant for several years. Her extensive experience
gives her the background she needs to help patients achieve health inside and
outside. Alda holds certifications in Botox/ Dysport and hyaluronic fillers
and body sculpting. She is peptide certified through Evexias and Tailor Made
Compounding and has been a licensed professional laser technician since
2012.

Some of the
most well-received treatments Alda oversees are the weight-loss programs. She
offers multiple weight-management products, medications, and Peptide Therapy
programs.

Semaglutide
was approved in 2017 as a treatment method for improving glycemic control in
patients with Type 2 diabetes. Semaglutide shows great promise for patients
who are having difficulty losing weight.

Medication-assisted weight loss is also
offered along with ablative laser treatment to remove stretch marks after

Wellness services include specialized lab
