Services to Enhance Your Appearance

A medical spa is a bit of a hybrid. Take the pampering nature and calming environment of a day spa and add the specialist knowledge and expertise of a medical clinic, and you’ve got a medical spa. Usually referred to as a medi-spa or medspa, it offers the indulgence of treatments like facials and massages together with a certified and licensed staff — overseen by a licensed healthcare professional — and the latest aesthetic technology and training for non-invasive treatments and procedures to rejuvenate the skin and body and leave you looking and feeling your best. Let’s peruse a typical med spa menu.

Facials

A medspa facial places emphasis on your skin concerns with a clinical approach to help you achieve your desired results. Often, treatments that help exfoliate your skin, such as microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, and varying grades of chemical peels.

Hydrafacials

Hydrafacials use water and suction technology to clean debris and dirt from your face’s pores. Sometimes, a special booster is used, such as a stem cell serum, to increase your skin’s natural health and radiant glow.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are used to improve the appearance of the hands, neck, décolleté, and facial skin. The chemical-peel solution is applied to a targeted area, exfoliating it. The skin peels away within a few days, revealing smoother skin and fewer wrinkles.

Botox Injections

Botox and other wrinkle-relaxing neuromodulators like Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau are used to smooth deep lines and wrinkles on the face, reduce the appearance of “crow’s feet,” lift the corners of the mouth and eyebrows, and soften forehead lines leaving you with a refreshed, relaxed appearance. Botox injections may also be helpful for migraines and excessive sweating.

Dermal Filler Injections

Adding volume to the treated area, dermal fillers are used to smooth lines and wrinkles, augment the lips, fill in hollows beneath the eyes, plump up the cheeks, and more, leaving your skin with a healthy, youthful appearance.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal can be used on the upper lip and chin, underarms, chest, bikini area, legs, arms, and the back of both men and women, minimizing future hair growth so you no longer have to shave those areas.

Laser Tattoo Removal

We’ve all done things we regret. If one of them is in ink on your body, tattoo removal can be done efficiently and comfortably in usually one to two sessions without damaging surrounding tissue and with minimal to no downtime.

Body Sculpting and Fat Reduction

In as little as 15 minutes, nonsurgical body sculpting technology can remove stubborn pockets of fat, eliminating up to 24% of fat cells in a single session. Results may vary.

Microneedling

Microneedling can generate new skin tissue and collagen for firmer and smoother skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin Tightening

Skin tightening anti-aging procedures treat loose, sagging skin, wrinkles, and large pores and even help stimulate your body’s wound-healing processes to lessen the appearance of scars.

Whether you’re looking for these procedures or treatments for spider veins, permanent makeup, IV therapy, spray tan, acne treatment, or a rejuvenating massage, an experienced Medspa staff will get to know you, your wishes, and your concerns and offer services tailored to you and your needs.

After the Medspa

Maintaining a good skincare routine at home can protect and maximize your medspa treatment results, keeping you looking refreshed and rejuvenated longer.

  • Ask your aesthetician whether there are skin-nurturing foods or supplements you can add to your diet.
  • Ask them how to clean your skin at home, how often, and with what.
  • You may have a slight headache after Botox injections, so have some over-the-counter pain medication on hand. Also, try to keep your head elevated for four to six hours after Botox injections.
  • Before you leave the med spa, schedule your next facial. A consistent facial routine can make all the difference.
  • Be diligent about wearing good-quality SPF sunscreen every day. Nothing ages the skin like the sun.
  • Consider investing in a skin serum with a proven track record, preferably one rich in retinol, antioxidants, and/or hyaluronic acid. Ask your aesthetician for recommendations.
  • Beyond cleaning and protecting, avoid touching the treated areas while they’re healing.
  • Avoid smoking since tobacco smoke can thwart the healing process.
