When Toni Burns entered the health insurance industry in 2020, she brought something beyond a sales background: the personal understanding of what it feels like to need someone in your corner. It’s this approach to business that has earned Toni the “Best Of” award for her industry.

That experience became the foundation of Reimagine Benefits, where she helps individuals, families, and small-business owners navigate an increasingly complicated health insurance landscape.

“People need an advocate,” Toni said. “We don’t just need a cookie-cutter plan.”

For Toni, that means listening first. Health insurance has changed dramatically in recent years, and the plan that worked yesterday may not necessarily be the best choice today. Through Reimagine Benefits, she helps clients explore their options, including customizable private health plans for those who qualify.

“You have choices,” Toni said. “There are private plans that can be customized to your needs.”

Her particular passion is working with entrepreneurs and people transitioning out of corporate America who suddenly find themselves responsible for securing their own coverage. She also mentors other independent agents, helping them build businesses of their own without having to navigate the industry alone.

Ultimately, Toni wants clients to think beyond today’s doctor visit and prepare for the unexpected.

“We’re all healthy until we’re not,” she said. “Then life happens.”
