PAM Health’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital in Sugar Land is an acute care inpatient rehab hospital focused on intensive recovery and rehabilitation tailored to each patient’s complex needs. The boutique-style hospital provides specialized medical care for critically ill and medically complex patients transitioning out of a traditional hospital. Patients can then go directly into PAM’s intensive inpatient rehabilitation program before they’re cleared to return home.
Continuity of Care
PAM Health facilities own and operate inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, long term care hospitals, outpatient therapy clinics, behavioral health programs, and home health services. “We provide a continuation of acute care to patients transitioning from traditional hospitals who aren’t quite ready to return home,” said John Wood, CEO of PAM. “Our medically complex patients typically need more recovery time before heading home.”
At PAM Health, patients are seen daily by physicians and a multitude of medical experts who specialize in fields directly related to patients’ current health conditions.
“Our focus is recovery of the total person,” John explained. “We not only provide medical resources, state-of-the-art equipment, transportation, and medical follow up to our patients, but we also concentrate on the social aspects of recovery, educating our patients’ families and supporting their emotional needs.”
Outstanding Customer Service
Providing expert care with kindness and compassion is one of PAM’s core values. Hospital-level medical treatment, compassionate 24/7 nursing care, and physician oversight are all concentrated toward helping patients stabilize their condition. Providing concierge-level services and intensive-care programs, patients’ ultimate recovery and wellness is always top of mind.
High-Quality Patient Care
Specialized programs offered include medical, pharmaceutical, speech, and physical therapies. According to John, PAM’s Pulmonary Disease-Specific Program is one of only 15 available in the United States. Additional programs include those relating to: stroke, amputee, congenital heart failure, and wound care. Every patient entering PAM Health Rehab that is diagnosed with one of the aforementioned conditions automatically falls into that specified program, where they are evaluated and routinely seen by physicians and nurses specializing in their respective program.
PAM hospitals are community focused. “Health Talk” is an informative program PAM offers each month featuring a doctor in the community speaking on a particular health topic. They also host veterans’ lunches and fun events at the hospital for the community can see their facilities and learn what they have to offer.
Established in Sugar Land five years ago, PAM Health Rehab in Sugar Land was and continues to be a shining star of inpatient rehab hospitals. “We have been voted Best Rehabilitation Center-Physical by Living readers for the past four years in a row,” John remarked. “We’re quite proud of that.”
