For more than a decade, Living readers have voted Eyecare Rockwall the Best Optometrist in Rockwall/Rowlett, an award that speaks for itself and identifies Dr. Holly Fisher Britt and her team of distinguished optometrists as providers who offer their patients the premium level of care and technology, the highest and best in contact lens and optical innovation, and a warm and friendly environment where they know their patients by name and treat them like family.

The A-Team

Dr. Britt, who founded Eyecare Rockwall, has purposely surrounded herself with the A-team of optometrists, and she considers them the very best in the area. For more than 30 years, they have successfully diagnosed and treated patients of all ages, and their uncompromising commitment to the whole patient and providing premium eye care services and products is truly unmatched.

“We aren’t the average everyday eye care practice,” Dr. Britt said. “We don’t do remote exams. We examine our patients in person to ensure that their eyes are truly healthy. We aren’t a big corporate entity, nor do we perform quick and impersonal exams to run you through as fast as possible to sell a cheap pair of glasses or contacts. We are a private practice and we know our patients — some of whom we treat the entire family and even multiple generations. I don’t think you’ll find many eyecare practices as committed to patient care and building relationships as ours.”

Like Dr. Britt, Dr. Wiese is board certified with the American Board of Optometry, practicing general medical optometry since 1997 with a special interest in dry eye management, diabetic eyecare, eye infections, and contact lenses.

With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Lieu’s specialization is diabetic eye health and ocular disease treatment and management. She’s passionate about children’s vision and provides myopia management with ortho-k, atropine, Abiliti, and MiSight lenses.

Dr. Moulder is experienced in specialty contact lens fittings and co-management of both laser refractive and cataract surgery. He specializes in emergency eye care, treatment and management of ocular conditions such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry-eye disease. He also sees young children.

Their newest associate, Dr. Neiman specializes in managing various ocular diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. He is experienced in urgent care and medical optometry. He is accepting new patients of all ages.

All optometrists are licensed therapeutic and certified optometric glaucoma specialists and all hold certifications for MiSight myopia control for children and the Neurolens and Avulux lens technology. Additionally, they all have a passion for treating dry eye syndrome and utilizing the latest in pharmaceuticals and state-of-the-art equipment such as RF and IPL to provide lasting relief to
their patients.

The Next Generation of Eye Care

Dr. Britt and her team are committed to providing the next generation of eye care. While other less established practices are streamlining their services or shuffling patients in and out quickly, Dr. Britt and her associates constantly look for new and innovative ways to perform cutting-edge eye care. Eyecare Rockwall offers medical management for patients on high-risk medications, glaucoma, diabetic care, macular degeneration, dry eyes, infections, and injuries, as well as co-management for cataract surgery, LASIK/PRK surgeries, eye plastics, and more.

“Many systemic conditions and medications can lead to dry eyes,” Dr. Britt said. “For our patients, we literally get to the root cause rather than simply treating symptoms and sending people on their way. We try to identify these issues in a routine vision exam and address them medically when treatment is needed.”

They offer myopia control therapies such as Ortho-K, atropine eye drops, and multifocal eyeglasses, and contact lenses. More commonly known as nearsightedness, myopia occurs where individuals can see objects up close but have trouble distinguishing things at a distance. Myopic parents can absolutely prevent their children from becoming nearsighted.

Eyecare Rockwall can also help with specialty hard-to-fit contacts, eye misalignment, and migraine treatment lenses. Eyecare Rockwall patients have access to Neurolens and Avulux lenses, the latest technologies in eyeglasses. Neurolens is a curved prism lens technology that offers amazing relief for visually and neurologically symptomatic patients who suffer misalignment of the eyes. Avulux lenses are an FDA-approved pathway for migraine treatment for those patients who suffer from visually evoked migraines and light sensitivity. Overall results are the relief of pain from stress and strain derived from the visual and neurological systems of the brain.

“As a migraine patient, I have found life-changing relief from my visual triggers for migraines with Neurolens,” said Dr. Britt. “With an optional eye-monitoring test performed at your vision exam, we can determine if Neurolens can help you. We take a lot of pride in what we do. We have an optical lab onsite, making us the only optometrist in a 25-mile radius that allows us to make glasses within an hour. We can offer our patients this kind of service and these kinds of treatments because we have the best staff. They were all hand-picked.”

All Under One Roof

Eyecare Rockwall is a one-stop shop for acute and routine eye care for patients of all ages. In their onsite finishing lab, they can often make your glasses in an hour. Not only do they stock the latest in frame styles and all spectacle lens technologies at affordable prices, but they’re the only practice in the area offering Neurolens and Avulux. They also offer same-day appointments for urgent eye care. The reputation of Eyecare Rockwall is the reason why other optometrists
and countless healthcare providers refer their own family and patients to Dr. Britt and her team for everything in eye care.

Whether you need a routine vision exam, an eyeglass or contact lens prescription, treatment for eye disease or injury, corrective surgery (such as LASIK/PRK or cataract surgery), or something in between, Dr. Britt and her associates will provide you with the best care, advice, options, continued care, and referrals to the best ophthalmologists in their fields of eye specialty.

“We aren’t the average everyday eye care practice. We don’t do remote exams.
